About this coloring page
A puffy cloud with a big smile, round eyes and circle cheeks floats at the top of the page. Six raindrops fall beneath it, staggered in two rows.
The cloud is one large bumpy shape and each raindrop is a simple closed shape, so there's very little that's tricky. It's a nice page to pull out on a rainy day when you're talking about the weather.
Color ideas
- Color the cloud soft gray or pale blue, and give the round cheeks a pink blush.
- Fill each of the six raindrops with a different shade of blue, from pale to dark.
- Draw puddles under the raindrops at the bottom of the page and color them blue as well.
Did you know?
- Clouds are made of billions of tiny water droplets or ice crystals floating in the air.
- When the droplets in a cloud join together and grow too heavy to float, they fall as rain.
- Real raindrops aren't shaped like teardrops. Small ones are round, and bigger ones flatten out on the bottom as they fall.
Try this
Count the raindrops together, then draw one more drop for each person in your family and count again.
