About this coloring page

A round wreath fills the page, made of a closely packed ring of leaf shapes that circle all the way around. Round dark berries are tucked between the leaves at intervals, and a ribbon bow with two loops and two trailing tails is tied at the bottom. A sparkle shines in each top corner.

The leaves are small and packed tightly together, so this page needs patience and a sharp colored pencil rather than a fat crayon. Working around the ring a few leaves at a time keeps it manageable, and the bow is a nice reward at the end.

Color ideas

  • Color the leaves in two shades of green, alternating them around the ring.
  • Make the berries a bright red so they stand out against the green.
  • Color the bow at the bottom red or gold, with the tails a slightly darker shade.

Did you know?

  • Christmas wreaths are often made from evergreen branches, which stay green all through the winter.
  • The Advent wreath, which holds candles that are lit one at a time on the Sundays before Christmas, began in Germany in the 1800s.

Try this

Cut out the finished wreath, punch a hole at the top, thread a ribbon through it and hang it on a door.
