About this coloring page
Two round lollipops on sticks stand side by side, a big one and a smaller one, each with a spiral swirl curling across it. On the left lollipop, the swirl runs right up to and a little past its edge. In front of the sticks sits a wrapped candy with twisted ends and two curved stripes, with a sparkle on each side.
The spirals are the challenge here, since the colors have to follow the curve around and around. It helps to trace the spiral line with a finger first, then color the stripe next to it in a second color.
Color ideas
- Color the spirals in two alternating colors, like red and white for the big lollipop and green and yellow for the small one.
- Make the twisted ends of the wrapped candy a shiny, crinkly purple or silver.
- Color the lollipop sticks white or light brown so they look like paper sticks.
Did you know?
- Hard candy is made by boiling sugar and water until it is very hot, then letting it cool until it hardens.
- Most of the sugar we eat comes from two plants: sugarcane, a tall grass, and sugar beets, a root vegetable.
Try this
Sort a handful of real candies or colored buttons into groups by color, then use the same colors on the lollipops and wrapped candy.
