About this coloring page

A round-headed robot rolls along on a single wheel. A visor band across its face holds two eyes, and an antenna pokes out of the top. Its chest has a small panel with two dots. One arm holds out a tray with a steaming cup, and the other arm is bent at the elbow.

The tray and cup add a little story to the picture, and the steam lines are a nice detail to trace over in color. The chest panel and eyes are small squares and circles that ask for steady hands.

Color ideas

  • Make the cup a warm color like red or yellow, and color the steam wisps pale gray.
  • Color the visor band dark blue and the two eyes inside it glowing white or yellow.
  • Give the single wheel a black tire and a silver hub.

Did you know?

  • The first robot arm used on a factory assembly line started work at a car factory in New Jersey in 1961.
  • Today, some restaurants and hospitals use rolling robots to carry food, drinks and supplies from one place to another.

Try this

Carry a plastic cup of water across the room on a plate without spilling it, then talk about how hard a helper robot has to work to stay steady.
