About this coloring page
A big square robot face fills the page. A bolt sits in each of its four corners, two straight eyebrows sit above huge eyes made of rings inside rings, and a shuttered mouth is divided into a row of slats. Two antennae with round tips rise from the top, and a rectangular ear panel sticks out on each side.
The bull's-eye eyes are the fun part: each one has a few rings that can be colored differently, like a target. The four corner bolts and the mouth slats are small and repetitive, which makes good practice for careful coloring.
Color ideas
- Color the rings of each eye in a pattern, such as blue, white and black from the outside in.
- Make the mouth slats alternate between two colors, like the keys on a keyboard.
- Use a dark gray for the four corner bolts and a lighter gray or silver for the face around them.
Did you know?
- Many robots see the world through cameras, which are often placed where eyes would be on a face.
- Some robots use sensors that send out sound or light and measure how long it takes to bounce back, which tells them how far away things are.
Try this
Make funny robot faces in a mirror together, then decide whether this robot head looks happy, surprised or sleepy, and draw a different expression on scrap paper.
