About this coloring page
A small truck cab perches high on two enormous wheels. The windshield is split down the middle, a fender line arches over each tire, and short struts connect the body to the wheel hubs. Four little tread marks sit around each tire like the points of a compass.
Only a few large shapes make up the whole truck, so it is a confidence builder for the youngest colorers. The two giant tires are big round spaces where a toddler can scribble happily and still end up with something that looks just right.
Color ideas
- Use one wild color for the cab, like lime green or hot pink, and add flames or lightning bolts along its side.
- Color the huge tires black and leave the four tread marks white so they pop.
- Make each half of the split windshield light blue with a white shine line.
Did you know?
- Monster truck tires are usually about 66 inches tall, which is taller than many grown-ups.
- Monster truck drivers sit inside a strong metal safety cage and wear a helmet and harness, because the trucks jump, crash and even do backflips at shows.
Try this
Draw a row of small cars under the monster truck's wheels, the way trucks drive over them at a show, and count how many your child can fit.
