About this coloring page
This page is just one big cat face, filling most of the paper. It has large round eyes with dark centers, a triangle nose, a wide smile shaped like a W, three long whiskers on each cheek, and two pointed ears with inner ear shapes.
With so much open space, the face is a good place to practice markings. Kids can try a tabby forehead, a white muzzle, or a patch over one eye. The eyes are big enough to color, so this is also a nice page for talking about real cat eye colors.
Color ideas
- Color the eyes green, gold, or amber around the dark centers, the way real cat eyes look.
- Give the nose a pink triangle and leave a white patch around the mouth and chin.
- Draw an M-shaped tabby mark on the forehead between the ears, then add stripes out to the cheeks.
Did you know?
- A cat's whiskers are very sensitive. They help a cat sense things close to its face and judge whether it can squeeze through a gap.
- Cats' pupils can open wide in dim light and narrow into thin slits in bright light.
Try this
Color this face to look like a real cat your child knows, or make it a cat that has never existed, like one with rainbow stripes. Then give it a name.
