About this coloring page
Two butterflies flutter across this page, a larger one near the top left and a smaller one lower down on the right. Both have knobbed antennae and spots on their wings. Small circles float in the air, and two short stems with a leaf each grow up from the bottom.
The bigger butterfly has roomy wings, while the smaller one has tight spaces around its dark body. That makes it a good page for an adult and child to share, or for showing how size changes the way you color.
Color ideas
- Color the large butterfly blue and the small one orange, so they look like two different kinds.
- Make the two stems and their leaves green, and turn each leaf into a bud by adding a bit of pink at the tip.
- Fill the floating circles with yellow so they look like pollen drifting through the air.
Did you know?
- Butterflies need warm bodies to fly, so on cool mornings they often rest in the sun with their wings open.
- Every butterfly has four wings: two front wings and two back wings.
