About this coloring page
A snowman made of three snowballs stands with stick arms raised, each with little twig fingers. He wears a black top hat with a brim and has dot eyes, a pointed carrot nose and a smile. Two round buttons run down his front, and snowflake dots float around him.
The body circles overlap, so a line from one snowball runs across the next. Children can treat those lines as part of the snow or color right over them. The big round shapes are easy to fill, and the hat and nose add a pop of color to all that white.
Color ideas
- Leave the snowballs mostly white, shading just their edges with a pale blue.
- Make the carrot nose orange and the top hat black with a red band just above the brim.
- Color the stick arms brown, and draw a striped scarf around his neck.
Did you know?
- Every snowflake has six sides or six arms, because of the way water molecules join together when they freeze.
- The best snow for building a snowman is wet, sticky snow that falls when the temperature is close to freezing, because it packs together well.
Try this
Make a mini snowman from three cotton balls or balls of play dough, then add a paper hat and a tiny orange nose to match the drawing.
