About this coloring page
A Christmas tree is built from three stacked triangle tiers, with a star perched on the very top. Six round baubles hang along the edges and middle of the tiers: one on the top tier, two on the middle and three on the bottom. A short trunk rests on the ground, with a dash of snow on each side.
The three triangles are large and simple, and counting the baubles tier by tier is a gentle math moment. Kids can make each tier a slightly different green, or keep the whole tree one color and let the baubles do the decorating.
Color ideas
- Color the three tiers in different greens, darkest at the bottom and lightest at the top.
- Make each of the six baubles a different color, or alternate red and gold all the way up.
- Color the star on top bright yellow and the trunk a warm brown.
