About this coloring page
A tall cone party hat is topped with a round pom-pom, with a small circle just below it. Three chevron stripes run across the cone, and a band at the bottom is divided into sections. Curved lines on each side, sparkles and two small dots make it look like the hat is part of a celebration.
The chevron stripes divide the cone into wide bands that are easy to color in alternating colors. The sectioned brim is a good place to practice changing colors from one small box to the next.
Color ideas
- Alternate two colors between the chevron stripes, such as pink and turquoise.
- Make the round pom-pom fluffy white or gold.
- Color each section of the brim band a different color for a rainbow edge.
Did you know?
- A party hat is shaped like a cone, a solid shape with a round base that narrows to a single point at the top.
- Paper party hats are usually made by rolling a flat curved piece of card into a cone and holding it on with a stretchy elastic string.
Try this
Cut a quarter-circle out of paper, roll it into a cone and tape it together to make a real mini party hat for a stuffed toy.
