About this coloring page
This robot has a round head with an antenna, dot eyes, friendly eyebrows and a big smile. Its rounded body has two lines across the front, and two thin arms reach out to the sides. Underneath, instead of legs, it rests on a wide oval base with a line through the middle, like a wheel seen from above.
The smiling face makes this a cheerful first robot page for very young children. Everything is large and simple, and the oval base can be colored as a spinning wheel or a hovering disc, whichever your child imagines.
Color ideas
- Color the round head a soft color like sky blue or mint, and leave the face white.
- Make the oval base black with a gray center line so it looks like a rubber wheel.
- Color the two lines on the body bright orange, like lights that blink as the robot rolls.
Did you know?
- Some real robots balance on a single ball or wheel. They use sensors that notice the smallest tilt and correct their balance many times every second.
- Robot vacuum cleaners are rolling robots that use sensors to find their way around furniture and avoid falling down stairs.
Try this
Try balancing on one foot for as long as you can, and talk about how the rolling robot has to keep tiny adjustments going to stay upright all the time.
