About this coloring page
A robot pet stands on two sturdy legs with flat feet. Its square head has two pointed ears, dot eyes and a straight mouth line, with a small triangle tucked under its chin like a tag. The long body has two panel lines, and the tail is a thin aerial with a round tip.
Notice together that the head overlaps the front of the body, so a line from the body shows inside the head. Kids can color over that line or treat it as a seam. The big rectangle body and the round tail tip are fun, simple parts to fill.
Color ideas
- Color the body and head shiny silver with a light blue tint on top.
- Make the small triangle under the chin a red name tag, and write a name on it.
- Give the round tail tip a bright color, as if it lights up when the dog is happy.
Did you know?
- Real four-legged robots have been built that can walk up stairs, cross rough ground and keep their balance when bumped.
- Robot pet dogs that could sit, walk and respond to their owners went on sale in the late 1990s.
Try this
List the things a real dog needs, like food, water and walks, then make a second list of what a robot dog might need instead, such as charging or oil.
