About this coloring page
A palm tree leans slightly as it rises from a line of sand. Five long, pointed fronds fan out at the top, and three round coconuts hang together just underneath them. A few curved lines across the trunk mark the rough bands on its bark.
The fronds and trunk are long, open shapes that are easy to fill. The three coconuts overlap a little, so they make a fun small-space challenge right in the middle of the picture.
Color ideas
- Color the five fronds bright green, adding a darker green along the middle of each one.
- Make the coconuts a rich brown, or green if you want them to look young and unripe.
- Color the trunk tan and the bands between the curved lines a little darker to show its rough texture.
Did you know?
- Coconuts can float, and they sometimes drift across the ocean to wash up and grow on new beaches.
- The big leaves of a palm tree are called fronds.
- Palm trunks do not have growth rings inside like an oak or a pine.
