Fairy with a Wand Coloring Page

EasyAges 3+Big, open shapes - good for a first crayon.

A fairy holding up a star-tipped wand.

Getting the page ready…

Pick a color, then tap inside any shape to fill it. Use the brush for the open areas and the eraser to take color back off.

About this coloring page

This fairy raises one arm high to hold up a wand with a big four-pointed star at its tip. She has a round face with a happy smile, a swoop of hair, two long pointed wings and a half-circle skirt with a line running down the middle. A small sparkle floats near her feet.

Her arms and legs are simple lines, so most of the coloring happens on the wings, the skirt and the star. The wand's handle crosses over the right wing, so point it out before starting, or the wand may disappear into the wing color.

Color ideas

  • Color the star on the wand bright yellow, then draw short orange lines around it to show it shining.
  • Use a different color on each half of the skirt, since the center line divides it neatly in two.
  • Shade the pointed wings from lilac at the tips to white near her back.

Did you know?

  • The fairy godmother who helps Cinderella with a wave of her wand comes from a version of the story written by Charles Perrault in France in 1697.
  • In William Shakespeare's play A Midsummer Night's Dream, written in the 1590s, the king and queen of the fairies are named Oberon and Titania.

Try this

Ask your child what three wishes they would make with this wand. Draw a tiny picture of one wish near the sparkle at her feet.
