About this coloring page
A round, friendly fish swims across the page with a dot eye and a smile. A curved line behind its face marks the gill, three wavy lines across its body suggest scales, and a triangle tail sits at the back. Three bubbles of different sizes rise above it.
The body is one big oval split into a few sections, which makes it easy to fill and easy to turn into stripes. Counting the bubbles from smallest to biggest is a nice extra for young children.
Color ideas
- Color each section between the wavy scale lines a different shade of orange, from light near the face to dark near the tail.
- Make the triangle tail bright blue and the body yellow for a cheerful tropical fish.
- Leave the three bubbles white with a pale blue edge, and color the face section a slightly lighter color than the rest of the body.
Did you know?
- Fish breathe with gills, which take oxygen out of the water as it flows over them.
- Many fish are covered in scales that overlap like shingles on a roof.
- Most fish have no eyelids, so their eyes stay open even when they rest.
Try this
Line up the three bubbles from smallest to largest, then draw a fourth bubble that is even bigger.
